Miss Beverly, originally from Toronto, Canada, was a Royal Academy of Dance ballet-trained, competitive dancer. She then moved to Maine to study on scholarship with world-renowned Vaganova teacher Andrei Bossov, where she danced in Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Hungarian Dances; followed by a move to New York City to study musical theater at American Musical and Dramatic Academy and along the way performed with Dance Workshop and Tressor Group. Miss Beverly starred as Phyllis in 42nd Street in Utah, and then landed the Asian tour of 42nd Street and played in every major city in China and Korea. Other favorite credits include going Ape in Tarzan, moonlight tapping in Crazy 4 You, My Fair Lady, and dancing the Can-Can in Paris Review. As a choreographer, she has created music videos and performances for Michael V. Doane, Josh Triplett, Broadway Cares, Horseplay (Fringe NYC), and a musical adaptation of Macbeth (Off-Broadway), and can also be seen judging for various competitions throughout the tri-state area. The dancers of Fusion are so excited to have “Miss Bev” back for her eleventh year at FDC!
